She was a bit difficult to understand at times, and toward the end she led us to the gift shop and sat us down for a sales pitch at a jade counter. After that we dismissed her and wandered back to the pits for a more leisurely visit. There are signs in English and most of what the guide told us could be acquired from the signs. Apparently 50 archeologists are working every night to excavate the figures in the third hall, but leave the last ground in the hope that they can discover how to preserve the colour.
