Next to city centre, in Sector 16 is situated Zakir Hussain Rose Garden Asia's largest Rose Garden and is spreaded over 30 acres of land having over 1600 different species or roses. These have been planted beautifully carved out lawns and flowers beds. Like the cultural zone which is just across the road in sector 10,this was also planned by Dr. M.S. Randhawa as his interest in horticulture and fondness for flowers was profuse.

"This lovely garden makes for a perfect late afternoon stroll.
It offers a lot of roses of all kinds and colours, plus some other flowers.
There's nothing "luxurious" about the garden, though - it's a simple, yet well maintained, garden, period."
"Kikar Lodge is a good 2-hour drive from Chandigarh.
The road is mostly ok, but the final 5 kilometers of the road is mostly unpaved and can get very tricky after it rains.
The zipline is within the Kikar Lodge resort, and they would not let you into the resort unless you show them your tickets (or..."der online).

Since we were only 2 people in our "group", the entire course took apx. 45 minutes.
The ziplines themselves were nice - a bit scary for the first time, but after that - quite enjoyable.
The view is the main issue. Out of all the "Flying Fox" sites, this one has to have the most boring views - trees and hills and then some more trees, while the other sites feature castles, rivers, etc. .
Having said that, this is a fun activity for the entire family. Note that the climb to the hill top can be a bit difficult, especially during hot weather.
The two guides we had were great and the equipment seems very ...

"I had no idea we would love this garden so much.
First of all, it's an experience, and as such - it's a lovely one.
You enter the garden through a tiny gate (watch your head...) and immediately see weird and wonderful statues of all kinds.
The so-called garden then becomes a semi theme park, with..." an artificial waterfall, huge trees and more statues and rocks.
The inner part of the garden is huge place with some activities for the kids (train, swings, camel ride, mirror room, etc.).
The only annoying part is that you literally have to backtrack your steps to find the exit, which should've been more clearly labeled.
Still, highly recommended while in Chandigarh.
