I loved the remote mawun beach, the place was quiet and not many people were there at that time thus I can enjoy it more... The native kids were more than happy to welcome my presence there, pulling me to swim with them, they also taught me some local langugae..
It's about ..."15-20 mins of slow ride on motorbike from kuta lombok beach, on the way to the beach the view was also nice, a great escape from the hustle bustle of city :D

"My friend and I did the 3 night / 4 day Rinjani trek with Rudy Trekker in June and it was AMAZING. I’ve done several hikes throughout Asia, Europe and the Caucasus and have had the privilege of hiking with some excellent guides, but Abul was the best ever. His local knowledge, sense of humour, quiet..." enthusiasm and excellent cooking made our Rinjani experience particularly special. The hike itself is tough and not to be underestimated, even by those with a good level of fitness. It is also cold: you need a scarf, beanie, thermals and rain jacket at the very least. The views are spectacular and the predawn ascent to the summit is definitely worth it. I would recommend taking the extra day to spend more time at the lake and hot springs. Other groups doing the 2 night / 3 day trek only stopped for lunch at the lake and missed out on experiencing the hot springs, a real highlight.
