From then on we were taken by our wonderful driver/guide on a stunning two-week trip including parts of the Serengeti where it appeared that we and the animals were the only living things on earth. Our driver finally took us to the airport for our flight to Zanzibar - only to discover that it had been cancelled for that day. He called the office and in no time alternative arrangements were made for a ferry crossing and someone to meet us on arrival.
