"These ancient pre-Inca burial grounds are worth the ride out to see. They are located about an hour from Puno, on top of a hil that is surrounded by Lake Umayo. The history of the grounds is fascinating, and a bit eerie, as there are human remains scattered about the grounds. So watch where you s..."tep and have respect/don't touch any bones lying about.

"Tour was very interesting i would highly recommend the whole experience.
But the tour operator was spectacular.
Everything was exactly as promised and very punctual.
We were so impressed with the operator that we have hired them for the last minute private tour to the Sillustani on our way to the..." airport.

"This is quite a fascinating attraction. It is a burial site of Pre-Incan and Incan civilizations. The tomb structures are unlike anything I have seen elsewhere. They are definitely different from some of the Incan cliff burials. Explanations and details of why and how are meagre although our guide t..."ried his best. There is still a lot more to learn about these graves and much more research is required.
The site itself is well serviced and easily accessible. It is situated on a hilltop overlooking a large lake that appears to be the caldera of a long dead volcano. In fact it is similar to Crater Lake in Oregon, USA. The view from the hilltop cemetery itself is stunning.
We were fortunate in that few people were visiting but we were told it can get extremely busy in the high season of August.
