"From the opening of the show, we were all memerised and astounded ..
On a stage a few inches under the waters surface, hundreds of actors dancing , moving in unison.. The lighting is spectacular, using the natural scenery / trees .. the logistics/ effects of framework rising out of the water is am..."azing. For a westerner the story line is not always clear but the total performance was breathtaking.. Staged in an open air theatre we were blessed with a clear summer night.

"The walk around the lake was so wonderful. The smell of the trees in bloom was amazing. You could smell them on the cab ride in from the train station. It is wonderfully scenic and relaxing, even in the rain."
"The two most romantic Chinese stories took place here, you can imagine the irresistible charm of Hang Zhou, and the jewel of Hang Zhou is West Lake !
Avoid the peak seasons for not spoiling your supposedly wonderful holidays in Hang Zhou.
The bus tour going round the lake is worth taking."
