"Get a guide to take you out with a private boat to see the meeting of the Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes. The boat is low so you can put your hand in the waters and feel the difference in the temperatures of the black and white waters. Then go visit the giant lily pads in the nearby swamp and floating ..."villages. Takes only about 30 mins or so.

"I just feel that I have to share the great experience I and my lady had in Amazon with Iguana Turismo.
All the thanks in particular to Ralf our "Brazilian Rambo" guide, also to Ricardo, Wilson, Gerry and all the team.
I'm doing this review because, was through the reviews here at Tripadvisor..." that I decided to go with Iguanas and I don't regret a penny that I spent "Apart of the hostel we were in Manaus"
For start we had a great reception with Ricardo that went to pickup us up from the airport in Manaus.
We were then taken to the Gol Backpackers Hostel which was the only thing awful and sad in this trip, however I didn't pay for the hostel due the package I had with Iguanas. "However, if you need a room for a couple, please choice another hostel, as Gol Backpackers smells, the rooms don't have windows and most important our bed didn't have mattress." AWFUL.

"We met Herman and his tour company during our trip to Brazil last summer. We had a boat tour up the Rio Negra with him. I have nothing but good things to say. Herman was on time, helpfull, organised and everything went smoothly. Herman is very knowledgeable and friendly. Our trip was both relaxing a..."nd exciting. We saw more wildlife than we can remember and were impressed not just with Hermans knowledge of it, but also his respect for it. We greatly enjoyed chatting with him. After our trip finished we spend a few more days taking in the sights of Manaus and were very pleased to run into Herman again and stop nd have a drink with him. I would tell anyone to try and book with him if they are visiting the amazon.
