"The lines are definitely best seen from above and aside from what other people had told me, I found the planes to be quite safe. What I didn't realize though, was that the plane would move a full 180 degrees from left to right to let everyone see the lines. If you have motion sickness, it might not ..."be worth it for you. I was okay for the first few lines and then I spent the rest of the flight staring at the back of the chair in front of me wishing that the flight was over. Still, we got some great photos.

"Many tour companies offer trips to see the Nazca Lines (usually combined with a visit to the Ballesta Islands) from Lima. If you have limited time this can be done in one day, however if you have the time make it a two day trip, staying over night in one of the many resort hotels in Ica (they are a..."ll very new and great looking inside and out - they also have an assortment of moderate priced hotels and hostels, but even the resorts are not expensive). For the one day trip you'll take the Cruzero bus at 3:45 in the morning. This is the tourist level bus, not the local bus - your first stop (after 3-3.5 hours) is Paracas where you get off and are met by your local guides - the bus continues on to Ica and Arequipa. The bus is very comfortable, like a train trip, with assigned seats that recline so you can sleep and yes, they have a washroom on board. The bus also has a stewardess that serves drinks and a lite breakfast before you arrive in Paracas. You visit the islands in the mornin...

"Hi All,
this sandboarding trip has been heaps of fun! We went riding the dunes and it was pretty awesome! If we would have to chose what to do in Nasca - flying above the lines or doing the sandbording-buggy-tour - we would definitely do the sandboarding trip! We can really just recommend this t..."o all of you!!
