As a white American, I cannot pretend to understand what happened in South Africa during Apartheid. However, this museum adds a personal connection that helps to understand the depth of the depravity that non-whites endured for so many years. And I am always so appreciative to hear accounts from the many white South Africans who are eager to add to the perspective from their point of view. Many, many whites opposed apartheid.
