  "Camped for 2 nights at campsite number 4. Busy Easter weekend & we were grateful to get space at the last minute. Camp site was peaceful, power plug access for a portable camping fridge & good ablutions. Plenty hot water but shower head a bit high, really not a major problem though. Excellent birdin..."g. Did not do any excursions. Would have liked a tap in each individual site but a basin of water surficed. Good wash up area. Plenty buck around camp site at night and a very bold genet that gave excellent photo opportunities. Reception staff at check in exceptionally efficient. Tips: if using power plug take a long extension & lots of mozzy stuff. We had wonderful wind free balmy evenings & the mosquitos came in their millions! The area is lit up with a few "street lamps"that may or may not bother you.communal central braai area. All in all a great weekend away. " More >

  "Aside from being a game reserve in itself, Bonamanzi is a great base to explore northern KwaZulu Natal. The camp is nicely laid out, clean, and well maintained. Nyala and Warthog roam the well kept lawns. But for me Bonamanzi's bird life is its main attraction. For birders wanting to view or photogr..."aph a wide variety of birds, Bonamanzi is one of the best places in the area to do this.
