Our tour guide was Robert and he took us on a 1 hr walk tour to see the caged animals he was very informative on each animal.
Then came the fun part of the whole tour the 2hr jeep ride !!!
We got to sit in the back row by ourselves which was comfy and roomy .
The riding tour was amazing we saw so many animals up close and personal.
It was cold but he provided us with blankets .
Just when you think you’re done with the tour another gate is open and another it just keeps going all over the property. When it was over we looked at each other and said that’s the best tour we have ever been on and we tipped well.
Please tip your guides it’s a lot of work on them for 3 hours !
Our last stop was the gift shop it had cute stuff at reasonable prices.
Book your safari tour today you will love it!!

Well, it's worth the time to stop and take a short journey at the capsule of Americana through the life of the legendary Charles Schultz, the creator of Charlie Brown and Peanuts.
The museum captures more than the life and times of a wonderful cartoonist but also takes you through the previous century by way of artwork and journal notes from the pen of Charles Schultz and others who had influenced and helped develop his legendary style.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone with children from ages 10 to adulthood!
They do offer an "art class" for younger children and to anyone who might desire to learn how to draw their own characters.

We went for the wine and food pairing lunch. One of the highlights of our trip. The lunch was really good as was the wine. Unexpected fun part was visiting with the other participants. The grounds are beautiful and the folks are friendly. A delightful way to spend the afternoon. Would attend this again for sure.

Combined with the other parks next door, you have a very large open space perfect for recreation and very close to the urbanized area. Come and take a long hike, or wait for the spring and plan a picnic.

Annadel State Park is a wonderful, large state park in Santa Rosa. Part of it conveniently extends right in town, connecting directly to neighborhoods in eastern Santa Rosa as well as connecting by trail directly to a large county park (Spring Lake Park) and large city park (Howarth Park) in town. There are trailheads directly in town from the adjacent neighborhoods. However, it is very extensive, covering many square miles and extending over the mountains to the Sonoma Valley and towards the small town of Glen Ellen.

It includes mostly hilly, partly forested wild areas, but has picnic and bbq places as well. There re numerous unpaved dirt or gravel trails extending high into the hills above town and providing nice views over Santa Rosa as well as the surrounding countryside.

There is also a reservoir, Lake Ilsanjo, which provides nice swimming in warm weather. There are streams flowing through the park as well.

This provides a lot of great hiking, running, bicycling, boating and other activities, all easily accessed in town.

It is free to enter this park on foot but one must pay if driving in and parking.

Very laidback, beautiful place for a wine tasting! Highly recommend. Make a reservation on Tock. We had such a great time and the wines were delicious. I bought a bottle to bring home. 5 out of 5 for sure!

Howarth Park is one of the largest, and probably the most varied, city park in all of Sonoma County. It includes a large playground with western town, climbing structures, and more, plus a smaller playground in a different area; lawns; bbq areas; a small train to ride; a merry-go-round; a lovely lake with paddle boats to rent, sailing classes, and more; and bicycling, hiking or walking trails, both paved and unpaved, through shaded oak forest and the remains of historic basalt quarries. We go here all the time. We used to take our kids to the train or playgrounds and now we hike here on a regular basis. Moreover, the park and its trails link directly into the larger Spring Lake County Park and from there to the much larger and more wild Annadel State Park. Altogether, these make a huge and varied park system which starts right in town and goes out for many miles into the hilly countryside.

I must admit I was not familiar with Luther Burbank, but his life was amazingly interesting, his gardens beautiful and his home fun to tour. Johnny was our docent and he was knowledgeable, giving us a history of Luther Burbank and his life and the plants he propagated. There is a small museum/gift shop in the former carriage house. Our tour lasted about 45-60 minutes. Parking is on the street around the home. Well worth a stop.

Visiting our grands and they wisely have a membership to this small but plenty-to-do children’s museum. Raised in the Indianapolis area, home to the largest children’s museum in the WORLD, it takes a lot to impress. But don’t let size keep you from going to this local gem!!! It is fantastic. Our kids love it and even though they go often,
They always want to go back! There were water activities outside, a helicopter, yes, a helicopter!

Lots of photo opportunities along the way and special music or storytelling too.

Inside there was a great, interactive kitchen where my granddaughters took my order and made me a scrumptious pretend lunch. Complete with the coolest oven/grill I have ever seen for play plus a working old time cash register.

There’s also a fire engine and house that is “on fire” and they can dress up and pull the hose to the fire and all kinds of goodness in that area for teaching and play.

Upstairs I can’t tell about because I didn’t venture up but it is open so you can see the second floor as well.

Your child can use his/her imagination all day long!

The Sonoma wine country venue, (rated among "Top 100 Performing Arts Centers" worldwide) is located in Santa Rosa, CA and offers excellent acoustics for its extensive performance calendar.
The annual Dave Koz Christmas Concert (26+ yrs.) supporting the "Starlight Children's Fund" had a lovely feeling of intimacy with the bands performers & a full audience. Seats are comfortable w/great leg room! A variety of snacks & beverages are offered in the spacious lobby but unfortunately beverages are not allowed in the theatre. Restrooms are nearby & generous. Parking is ample & free, with staff to direct cars to closest handicap spaces; especially helpful on a dark & stormy evening.

I have enjoyed their wines in the past, but this was my first visit. I started with wine tasting in the afternoon, enjoying the gorgeous setting. Every wine I tasted was excellent. Jesse was our server, and she was delightful.

I was with a wine club member, and we discovered there was a special event for members that evening. Jesse was able to get the last two tickets for us.

The buffet dinner, great wines and stellar views made the evening perfect. We even were able to star gaze through a huge telescope brought in for the evening festivities. And , we enjoyed Jesse during the evening as well.
