This 33,000 sq. ft. restored hosiery factory is the home of the New England Carousel Museum nestled in the heart of downtown Bristol, Connecticut, half way between NY City and Boston. In addition to antique, wooden carousel pieces the Museum has a new working carousel, a carousel restoration workshop,a Museum of Fire History, a Museum of Greek Culture, the Glo Sessions Fine Art Gallery, a changing art gallery, a children's craft center and a gift shop. "3 times the size of Adventure Land on route 110, Lake Compounce is a beautiful park with a great lake, water rides, adult quality rollercoasters and picnic grounds for schools and campers. It's not as technologically sophisticated as 6 Flags with their advanced roller coasters, but it's almost ther..."e.

"It isn't Disney but you also don't pay Disney prices here. Waterpark was a lot of fun. We LOVED the Boulder Dash wooden roller coaster. Park is a very manageable size and prices for food are reasonable. Good sized lockers for storage and bathrooms are pretty clean too. Lines were very short on ..."the day we went, which made the trip more enjoyable. It is a very sweet amusement park and we would return.

"We had a great experience in spite of the few things that could've ruined it for us. We visited mid-June 2013 and the water in the pools were surprisingly cold. We got used to it after a while. The newer wave pool should have been closed because it isn't finished. There was nothing but dirt surround..."ing the pool and the lounge chairs were sitting on dirt. It was a turn off because it was our 1st time going to this amusement park. All the pools were a little shallow compared to other water parks I've been to but the park is right next to a lake. We wouldn't dare go into the lake because the water was still cold. Another not so great experience was when we waited forever to get on the huge green water slide, we finally were next in line, and a raccoon decided to hang on a tree above the entrance of the ride forcing them to shut it down for a while. Right after, we went on the train to the other side of the lake and there were so may rules, it was quite ridiculous! We had to have our backs...
