What travellers are saying
- Maltipoo16New York1,255 contributionsThis is a really nice beach. It is a New England style beach and is very rocky, but it was really fun to walk around and climb all of the big rocks. There’s also a nice breakwater that you can walk. The onsite restaurant is also very good and a nice addition to a weekend trip with friends!Written 12 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andres72423Bridgeport, CT2,930 contributionsWhat a wonderful place to hold an open air concert. This was our first time there but we will definitely go back. We brought our own chairs and were able to bring a small cooler and our own food for a picnic. We set up and had the opportunity to watch the Val Ramos Flamenco Ensemble. What a wonderful show. Essentially, we had to RSVP and we were sent tickets for the perf. Once we got there they checked us in and we picked where we wanted to sit. I definitely plan on seeing other shows.Written 24 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PJG2000Stamford, CT75 contributionsWe saw local production of “Next to Normal”, our first time to this playhouse. Comfy seats, small so probably all seats are good seats but we had center Tier 1 which were great. Very powerful and well executed production, the themes of mental health, love and loss, marriage probably hit home with most in audience. Vocals were fantastic in this musical, acting very impressive. Parking available in its own lot. We will definitely return!Written 17 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- dustythoughtsManchester, CT2,128 contributionsWe met friends here for a picnic and were pleasantly impressed with our experience. Entry is free for CT license plates, and there's a lot of parking here, which is nice - we had no trouble finding a spot on a summer weekend. The whole park is spread out, and there are plenty of picnic tables and places to grille, so even when the park is busy, there's still a lot of space. There's space to walk near the beach, although I wish that more of the pathways had been paved. I did see that there was a building for parties, and the bathrooms were pretty nice. There's a lifeguard on duty if you want to go swimming.Written 14 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FionaFMChablis, France5 contributionsMy father loved this library...going several times a week, exploring the books, DVDs, and speaking with the team that works there. It has everything, and now includes work spaces. The events and authors they host are incredible. - isabelackermanSaint Louis, MO53 contributionsThis wonderful farmers market has a number of vendors but we love Riverbank Farms and their wonderful fresh produce and prepared foods. Their hot sauce is awesome as is there hummus.Written 8 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- stanlaw7Westport, CT22 contributionsA taste of history of a New England town.A small building stocked with information about Westport, a fascinating place with a history of being settled by artists, actors, (Betty Davis, Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, etc.) and musicians. F.Scott Fitzgerald lived in Westport and scenes described in "The Great Gatsby" as though in NY, actually describe a portion of Westport. The people managing the museum are highly knowledgeable and friendly.Written 19 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ayolles1Westport, CT3 contributionsWHS provides the local community with a history of its town. The gift shop has a variety of lovely items themed to match the season. The exhibits are outstanding -- cultural, informative and worthwhile. Helpful staff with vast knowledge can guide you through the historic house and answer your questions. They also offer many programs for children that teach about the history of the town, the state and other important facts.Written 27 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - P MWestport, CT41 contributionsRight there in the middle of Cosmopolitan Westport is the wildness and beauty of Buryimg Hill Beach for meditation, quiet and reading. It’s not much for walking since it’s a short beach, and one needs as hair or blanket to sit on. The parking lot is a bit of a walk, but if you are not into Compo Beach or neighboring Sherwood IslandBeach with the noise and crowds, this is a sanctuary within the Westport. A true gem within the town. I need to stop, you’ll all be crowding there and there won’t be much silence or room for me!Written 26 May 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
