"Handcrafted items of all kinds, from glassware to linens, jewelry to fabric art, are thoughtfully displayed in a well-designed and light-filled space. There is absolutely no sense of shopping in a run-of-the-mill "gift shop"; a visit here is more like wandering through a museum full of treasures tha..."t are, happily, for sale at very reasonable prices. I have visited several "folk art" centers; this one is head and shoulders above the rest. Don't miss it!

"While this center had a wide variety of beautiful crafts made in Kentucky, it was more like a very big, very nice gift shop. We did have lunch in the cafe. Lunch was worth the stop by itself. We enjoyed a couple of regional specialties, Tomato Pie and Stewed Tomatoes. The pie was so good that I c..."ontacted the cafe via email and requested the receipe. They were kind enough to share it with me. The stewed tomatoes were sweet with bread in them. Yummy.
