The Huckleberry Patch is Montana's original huckleberry cannery. It has been in operation since 1949. We pride ourselves in producing quality, made-from-scratch products in our canning facility located onsite. The Huckleberry Patch is located just nine miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park in Hungry Horse. The Huckleberry Capital of the West. We take great pleasure in presenting to you our delicious assortment of wild huckleberry preserves, jams, toppings, syrups and a variety of other wonderful products.

"This place seems to have a theme but I cannot seem to put my heavily stained finger on it. hmmmm.
Just kidding, this is the huckleberry place. If you are not familiar with huckleberries the best description is if you took a blueberry and made it better. Huckleberries have a unique ecology that r..."esists comercial cultivation so they are hand picked durring the season from scattered, often secret, patches while fighting off the bears (this is not a joke). for this reason a lot of people have never had a hucklebrry and they are missing out. they are good in everything! in pancakes, as a pie, jam, jelly, BBQ sauce, etc etc.
the huckleberry patch has all this stuff and more. They also have a small resurant that was closed for food service when I was there, due to tourist season starting the following week. When I started to weep openly in the middle of the floor they agreed to sell me a slice of pie. It was an epic peice of pie. over an inch tall they heated it up for me and gve me a...

"We were in Hungry Horse for a week the end of January/2013 snowmobiling and were told by friends this was the place to go. They were correct, the Huckleberry pie and icream that they make from scratch is fabulous!!! We got there minutes before they closed the day we got into town. The gentleman w..."orking was very nice and pleasant--even though I am sure he was ready to go home. Would go again and have the pie and ice cream. It is a fun place to go....lots of souveniers and home made items. We actually stopped in a couple more times to buy gifts (soaps, james, jelly, candles, teas, face cream, treats ---. all made from huckleberries and smells so good).

"We visited the Huckleberry Patch in late March and were pleased it was open, since nearly everything else in the area was closed for the season, but they had huckleberry pie and it was WONDERFUL. I make my own crust from scratch, and I have to say, theirs was yummy and it was absolutely stuffed wit..."h huckleberries. The gift shop has everything you could imagine with a huckleberry theme. If we ever go back to Glacier National Park, we will visit here again.
