  "Don't Miss It"
  "We called on their day off and my call was returned that day. We scheduled a time at our convenience. The next day we showed up and we were given some directions on gliding. Next thing you know we were at 10,000' and could only here the air. Brad, our pilot, gave us any information we wanted on ..."flying and the towns, rivers, and mountains below. The ride was perfect and the sights were amazing. He landed and we taxied, without power, right to the glider parking. We forgot our picture and when we got home it was in our mailbox. That's the kind of service that is provided by the staff at SoaringNV. Great adventure for a couple. Next year I will be doing the single flight with acrobatics. " More >

  "Wary going in, hooked coming out"
  "I was in Nevada this Thanksgiving weekend on a quick impromptu trip. I needed something to do on Saturday AM and was intrigued by the ad in the hotel magazine for a glider lesson / trip. I decided that was a perfect reason to drive in the direction of Carson City and do something new - especially ..."when it's aviation related. I called and was able to make and appointment for 2pm. I arrived about 5 min early and was immediately greeted. In no time, I was walking out onto the tarmac with the glider pilot who began to give me a history lesson on the airport and gliding in the area. He then strapped me into a chute, and reviewed the airplane with me including my safety instructions should I manage to be the lucky recipient of the skydiving upgrade. I wish I remembered the name of the pilot, but he was great, kept us in the air longer and higher than expected and even offered me the stick. I declined since gliders terrify me - they're the only aircraft I can't keep in the air in... " More >
