Once known as the U.S. National Championships, the US Open originated as a single men’s tournament held solely for entertainment purposes back in 1881. Not long after, women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles also became a part of the growing annual tradition.

"Great place for a taste of Asia. There are about 28 restaurants in the basement that serves: stir fried lobster/seafood, crab dumplings, and durian desserts. On the first and second floors, there's a huge Asian grocery store and lots of little stores."
"In town for a visit and thought I would catch a game. It is easily accessible from Manhattan taking the 7 train. I like this stadium. The food selection is standard stadium food and stadium prices but there are a lot different options.
I like the open area where the Shake Shack is to hang out ..."before and in between innings. The Shea bridge is a nice gesture to the old stadium and Mr Shea himself. It is easy to walk between the different levels. Unlike Yankee Stadium, the lay out is more open and does not feel as enclosed.

"Went to the Phillies game just to watch a game, not cheering for either team.
The stadium is fantastic. Easy to get around, not too crowded. Had great seats and lots of food/drink selection. Though I enjoyed the above mentioned items, they were very highly priced. The beer was great though and th..."e hot dogs tasted good, but a hit to the pocket.
The transit here was good. One of the best mass moving stadium locations I have ever seen.
Highly recommend a visit/game here. Will be back for sure
