"I think Forsyth Park is a great place to take the kids. There's a pretty big playground, with a pretty large pavilion, then a huge field with a baseball diamond way out. But also, the one thing I love about it is the mini-zoo they have.
It's more of an animal sanctuary, they've taken in animals..." in the past who have medical issues (nothing scary or contagious, trust me), but not all do. But the animals are friendly and you can see them up close, even feed them carrots! Not like in other zoos where sometimes you don't even see any animals. Nothing too exotic, but the goats, sheep, and llama are my favorite. I'm not sure about its hours, its very small and fund-run.

"We were fortunate to be in Kingston when Volunteer Fireman's Hall & Museum was open and loved it! Ted is the resident Firemans fireman and an ex Fire Captain from Upstate NY. He gave us a great tour of the firehouse including the vehicles, firefighting equipment and the history of firefighting in Ki..."ngston and Upstate NY. We had a great time and cant wait to do it again ...
Thanks Ted for your time and service!

"We took the cruise of the Hudson river on the Rip Van Winkle tour boat. The boat is very clean and the staff is very nice to everyone. The tour we took was for two hours and we were able to see the Vanderbilt mansion, Mills mansion and some other notable landmarks. We would go back again it if we ar..."e in the area. The only issue is parking at the loading dock which is located at the riverfront and has limited parking. Otherwise a great way to spend a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon.
