Enjoy the warmth of yesterday with a unique afternoon experience in the quaint surroundings of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Escape the rat race and step into an unhurried atmosphere where you will journey into the past on a personalized walking tour of Historic Elizabeth City, followed by deliciously appealing British Tea cuisine in a restored 1853 Greek Revival Home. Guided by a local resident, you will cover over 300 years of history and architecture. Upon returning from the tour, you will be treated to a Victorian tea and scones in the oldest surviving brick home in Elizabeth City. Tour and Tea time is approximately 2 hours.

"We were passing through Elizabeth City looking at boat anchorages and found this beautiful building. The museum was staffed by friendly knowledgeable people. The quality of the exhibits rivals the Smithsonian. Everything beautifully restored an exhibited."
"The Museum of the Albemarle is located in downtown Elizabeth City with a nice parking area. This is a relatively new building of 2 floors (with elevator) and there is much about the history of the local area. There are beautiful permanent exhibits and usually a special visiting one. You can take ..."as much time as you wish to study the various displays. The staff members are very friendly and helpful.
