"We were not aware until we arrived at Nags Head that an annual hang gliding event was going on. Having never been to this area before we were open to any all adventures to see what was available. We thought hang gliders must be colorful so we went to check them out, lol.
We had fun watching all..." of the folks trying to land on targets, not so easy in the gusting winds at this location. We were there over two hours. About half of the fun we had was climbing the dunes barefoot! We may not be normal but that was a blast. We will certainly visit again and explore the park more when we have more time.

"Enjoyed fishing and waking on the pier. Almost every time on it we saw dolphins. Some close enough to hear them breath. The staff was helpful and very friendly. A great bargain at $2 a person."
"Bodie is one of the lovely old light houses on OBX. The grounds are well kept, and there is a long wooden walkway that takes you out over the wetlands for viewing birds and greenery. Worth a stop!"
