"If you are looking for a fun activity with your kids this winter and enjoy camping, try the yurts at McGregor Point. We are avid tent campers with our 7 & 10 yr old kids but not hardy enough to tent camp in winter. What a great compromise the yurts were, still an outdoor adventure with some comfor..."ts.
Honestly, I would not camp at McGregor in the summer, too big and busy for my taste but for winter it was great. There is a skating oval, x-country ski trails, loads of hiking and bird watching. Not a lot of privacy between yurts but it isn't easy, so not a big deal for us.
Staff was friendly, facilities were clean. Great place.

"Been staying at this park for years. Recent years winter camping too. They even have Yurts year round. Lots of fun. Only drawback is Yurt campers tend to be very noisy all night long if they are young party goers."
