"You do not have to be interested in history to visit this house but you will be after your visit. Fascinating and well worth the visit.
The walled garden is also a treat to walk around as are the vast grounds."
"....and the rest of us as well. There were 9 well behaved school groups the day we visited with at least one very well informed teacher. The house guides will fill in any gaps in your knowledge, but having seen various films on QV, on visiting Osborne House it all slots into place.

Well furnished rooms to see including private apartments with security gates (to keep them in or others out?), and the nursery rooms on the top floor, which horrified at least one small group of children. Some steep stairs but a lift was offered (and declined). Hundreds of family photographs and paintings of you know who. Some beautiful china. OH is really quite different from places like Sandringham (which I preferred), but an important part of the royal heritage jigsaw. Sad that none of Victoria's children wanted to keep it after her death.... "The house and gardens are beautiful. We took a stroll around the grounds and to the beech. The food prices are a bit too pricey though. For anyone on a low income would suggest to take a packed lunch."
