This place is all about its classic character. As such I wouldn't go here to see any big blockbusters (at least not for the first time)...". The Trades is definitely best-visited if attending a gig, or for one of their many music events throughout the spring/summer (I.e. '30 Years Of The Trades Party' or 'The Not The Royal Wedding Street Party'). You'll almost always have chance to speak with artists afterwards, which can include some big names (recently Mike Harding, The Fall, The Buzzcocks etc.).
