Rivaled in beauty, only by The Great Smoky National Park, the views available from every hole are reminiscent of Laurel Valley's ridge-side neighbor ... Cades Cove. This challenging, yet playable, eighteen-hole regulation course, was designed by Edmund B. Ault, ASGCA, and features Bent Grass greens and Bermuda fairways. Changing elevation, meandering creeks, towering mountains, and an abundance of wildlife are at every turn. Although it is located inside a gated community, Laurel Valley Golf Course is open to public play and events, and offers practice areas, rental clubs, as well as full restaurant, bar, & 19th Hole.

The Original Cades Cove Riding Stables, we offer a Guided 110ft Tall Waterfall Tour by Horseback, along with Carriage Rides and a Horse Drawn Hayride that includes a marshmallow roast. Originally started by my father, Hugh Myers, @ 1965 in Cades Cove where we operated for 43 years, until I moved the stables to Townsend in 2009. I invite you to visit us at our new location in Townsend, a place rich in natural beauty and history that you'll easily experience as you ride the trail to the waterfall.

"I've been as a kid and then a young adult and was not sure what my 13 & 15 year old would think.
They really enjoyed it. The length of the tour was perfect for them, providing just enough information but not driving into detail only a geologist would care about. An just image a place where thei..."r cellphones won't actually work! (ha)
This remains a family run business as it has for decades. One of the things I like about that is the friendly services and quaintness of the facilities. You don't see many places like this anymore where everything doesn't look 'corporation slick' yet very well run.

"We had blast on the three zip lines. It was my twenty-something nephew, his wife, my wife, my 13yr son and my 15yr daughter. We were all first time zippers. The staff was very friendly and made us feel safe.
The views were amazing as we flew across the valley. I've heard others say that zi..."p line course in other places (Caribbean, etc) have more lines, but I think we got good value for the money and frankly as first timers it was probably just the right amount.

"For only 6 dollars a person, or less depending on age, you can have a very interesting and fun trip into Smoky Mountain past. There is a 20 minute movie that runs continuiously taking you to the history of the Smoky Mountains. It was so interesting to see how life was back then. Then you can take a ..."trip into the past in the museum seeing all the things that made the settlers life what it was. My favorite part was the outside area where they have old buildings set up in almost a little village, where you could see how people lived in thier homes, a blacksmith shop and cantilever barns they used for their livestock and hay. It really is a great attraction for the family, it's a cheap way to spend a few hours, and fun to see the history of the people from long ago.
