Unfortunately, the only tours available by the time we booked were leaving from the Orcas Island location, which req..."uired a ferry ride that cost over $60 round-trip. Also, they advertise a 3 hour trip, but the captain will travel quite a ways in order to see whales. On my trip, we traveled 30 miles one way to see 2 humpbacks. For those who aren't familiar with sea travel, thats a LONG ride. I'm glad we did get to see the whales, however, and the staff were very knowledgable about the whales and the area. On our way back we saw two different groups of harbor seals. The boat was very comfortable, and is made of welded aluminum. This means the boat is heavy enough to keep from jolting with each breaking wave. It has an enclosed cabin to keep the wind off the passengers, and a roof deck for 360 views. You can... " More >
