Tsunami Gems is the most unique wave to have hit The Northwest coast of Washington in a long time. This quaint little shop (1200) sq ft holds the biggest little secret on the beach. From fine jewelry to candles and soaps, local northwest art as well as great finds from around the world. Oh and 1000'S of Specialty beads and findings. Expect the unexpected, stop in if only to enjoy our surroundings.

"We found a sunny afternoon in May and scheduled a boat rental with Tom. We also hired captain Chris (suggested by Tom) and enjoyed an hour on the canal and lake. Chris shared a lot of information about the area and taught the four kids how to drive the boat. Tom and Nancy are the nicest couple. ..."We stayed and talked with them for quite awhile after our boat trip. Nancy and Chris shared other things we could do on our trip to Washington State. It was a reasonably priced excursion (80/hr) plus $20/hr for the driver. There were 8 of us plus our captain. We had plenty of room to move around. You can bring CDs to listen to and food to eat. The boat see through covering to keep out wind and rain if needed. Pretty views and scenery. The kids were excited getting to see a bald eagle.

"That is a quote from my 9 year old son when asked to describe the Interpretive Center. It is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. The volunteers are great and enthusiastically answer your questions about the wildlife in Ocean Shores. We spent a lot of time with a docent named ..."Steve who shared lots of knowledge about the exhibits. We had four children and four adults and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Most of it is hands on. The kids could pick some treasures to take with them (shells, sand dollars, rocks, stickers). It is free, but a donation is greatly appreciated. We went a couple of times during our stay in Ocean Shores.
