"Great place to visit, beautiful gardens, staff and volunteers are not very friendly. Would benefit from a small onsite cafe/restaurant so people would stay longer. The activities and events they hold look good on paper, but are not very good in reality, they lack innovation"
"We have travelled to many different gardens and this is one that is very beautiful. This weekend they had purple alliums on display which gave the gardens a great colorful look. Plantings are taking place of the annuals. The gardens are on a beautiful Lake with great paths for walking. This is..." a jewel for Janesville, so few people know about it outside of the city. We go there three or four times a year and it always changes. They have about 350 volunteers called "Grumpies" and "Grumpettes" and I'm sure many young volunteers who do a superb job with the gardens. At Christmas time the gardens are all lit up as you stroll through them on the paths.
They also have a train setup in the building which the kids love. At this time they serve hot chocolate and cookies. This is a must see if you love nature and gardens!!!

"This is a fabulous garden that changes every season and every year. There are many different themed areas to visit; Japanese, Children's, Rose, English Garden etc. It is also located on a body of water which adds to its beauty. There are many places to sit and enjoy the beauty. It is small enough to..." see all of it in around an hour or so and large enough to spend hours viewing all of the variety it has to offer. The hanging vegetables displays are great.
There is also an artist gallery that is filled with unique garden items, jewelry and gifts.
Being a garden lover, I have visited gardens around the world and this garden stands up to the best of them.
