The pools are large and deep with occasional vents of heated water adding to the fun. Be sure to bring protective gear. The lava rocks can be vicious. A walking stick is useful for the walk out to the best entry points. Be sure and head South to the Wai Opae Marine Conservation District for the best snorkeling. The ocean breaking about a quarter mile out is gorgeous for anyone in your party who prefers sunbathing and gazing at the translucent tourquoise waves. " More >
