What travellers are saying
- EmmaChristchurch, New Zealand89 contributionsLove this beach! Not for swimming as a tourist but great for sitting having a picnic and watching Mother Nature at her best with epic pre winter swells and watching the surfers surf right until sunset!Written 1 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tommy BFinger Lakes, NY594 contributionsMy wife and I decided today was the day to visit Waimea Valley. After a few days of rain, we thought the waterfall would be running hard. It was! The stream after the waterfall was running hard as well, so beautiful rapids. The natural flora alongside the wide paved trail was absolute gorgeous. Additionally we saw a number of birds. Really quite nice. The walk is fairly easy. A long uphill to the waterfall. But downhill virtually the entire way back. A little touristy at the visitor center, but to be expected. Overall a very nice experience.Written 29 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- EmmaChristchurch, New Zealand89 contributionsA huge winter swell had hit the week we were here which made for some epic waves! Lovely beach to sit on and have a beer in the late afternoon sun and watch the waves and the surfers!Written 1 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - stillalivecaWinnipeg, Canada79 contributionsFirst time we have seen sea turtles live. Only one showed up but the crowd that had gathered was thrilled. Much oohing and aahing.
We waited quite awhile but are delighted that we stayed.Written 22 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Snorkeling is only safe during the summer months when the ocean is calm on the North Shore. We were visiting in March and the water was too rough to snorkel as is the case throughout the winter months.Written 10 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gary FCastle Rock, CO677 contributionsA nice beach with some good views but the town is kind of a slum. You drive up H2 & 99 from Pearl City area to get here from the general Honolulu area.Written 7 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - romadaroWashington DC, DC1,585 contributionsThis is a small park along the Circle Island route but a great stop to view the tide pools with tables for lunch (there’s a Foodland across the street) and, fortunately, clean bathrooms (since Foodland won’t let you use theirs. We found out the hard way!)Written 30 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michelle MPensacola, FL29 contributionsBeautiful views from the top of this moderate hike. It can be steep and slippery so wear good shoes and bring water. The view is worth it.Written 16 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TinkTooEdmonton, Canada214 contributionsIf you are looking for turtles, likely you will see them here. We stop at this beach every time we are near the North Shore to see the turtles and have never been disappointed. From the parking lot, to the left of the main building there is a little beach where the turtles hang out.Written 6 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We’re not Lost fans but went for the turtles. You could see the in the water every few feet, and one was even onshore. This beach is so secluded it was wonderful. There are different aspects of the beach too if you walk a bit from rocky coastline to beautiful soft sand. We’ll worth taking the time to stop!Written 19 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Steve-O55511198 contributionsA nice easy spot to wait for your table at a near by restaurant. Sunsets are great to see here. The road is a bit busy and the locals do enjoy racing up and down the road sharing their music....Written 3 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
