"The peace and quiet. The beauty of the natural surroundings. The friendliness of the people in town and along the Gunflint Trail. We've camped in Federal parks along the Gunflint Trail for the past 2 years, at least a week at a time. Last year I was so unhappy at leaving that I started dreaming ..."up a character who would fall in love with a local resident, as well as the area. The book will be out May 1, a contemporary romance called "For The Love of His Life". It's a love story as much about the place, as about my characters. I LOVE Grand Marais!

"I love going to this gallery to view the lovely paintings and other cool artistic pieces like jewellery or sculpture. It's a great place to find unique gifts. We visit every time we go to Grand Marais."
"I went to take a course, "Artisan Baking I" that was mostly devoted to Sourdough Bread. The instructor was an expert both in baking and in teaching. I came away feeling the I could really do good Sourdough Bread on a regular basis.
The School has several hundred classes over the course of a yea..."r. They are in a variety of subject areas: blacksmithing; canoe building; boat building; soap making; basket making, furniture making; and a large variety of other subject. The classes last from an afternoon to a week long. (There are plenty of places to stay nearby.)
If you are a doctor, it won't make you a better doctor. If you're a lawyer, it won't make you a better lawyer. If you're in business, you won't learn how to cut the throats of the competition. It will, however, make you a better human being and certainly a more interesting one.
