The former royal palace of Tirtagangga (which means water of the Ganges, Hinduism's holy river) features tiered fountains, gardens, and stone sculptures of mythical creatures spouting water into bathing pools. Just outside the palace grounds, the views of the lush rice paddies of northeastern Bali are stunning.

"This is worth seeing for sure. It's a bit out of the way but worth it. Very nice gardens. Apparently my review has to be at least one hundred characters. What a waste of words."
"This beautiful place is well worth the drive out, with beautiful gardens and ornamental ponds. When we were there, there were a number of other tourists but mostly all locals, we saw very few foreign visitors. In a way it's good that it's not overwhelmed with tourists, but also a bit of a shame t..."hat few people know about it. If you're planning a trip to the east part of Bali, do include Ujung Water Palace in the itinerary.
