We are a small and cozy school with personal attention. Our school is situated in a beautifully restored building in the city center. The classrooms are spacious with high ceilings, natural light and lots of fresh air. It is the perfect environment for focusing on your Spanish!!!Packages by week include 2 to 6 hours of classes a day, family homestay including three meals a day and a weekly excursion or tour. Our teachers do speak English as it can be helpful in some cases. Classes tend to be in Spanish only.“Learn, Know, and Feel Our Language and Our Culture”

"The indigenous Nicaraguan El Chile tribe tour was far more than expected. The village is spread out in the scenic mountains northeast of Matagalpa.A truly backwoods 4x4 drive through the rough narrow mountain roads to view rural farm life was just great. We had a tasty lunch with one of the El Chile f..."arm families. We then had a tour to see El Chile women's weaving coop which was started by an Argentinian women to help Le Chile women sustain an income.
Our english/spanish speaking guide Marlon, was a super host. His expertise on farming (banana, coffee) ,nature (insect, bird and natural predators) and social (country history and economics) was very fulfilling.Marlon also took us on a strenuous one hour climb through a banana/coffee plantation to a spectacular viewing point.....well worth the climb.
Our trip back to Matagalpa was a different route and equally scenic

"My daughter and I recently visited Matagalpa and wanted to do some hiking and birdwatching. We did the night tour and the birdwatching tour. We could not have asked for better guides. Even though the exotic birds were elusive, we were able to hear and learn about them. We highly recommend Mataga..."lpa Tours. They are professional in every way and concerned about protecting the environment.

"I had a great tour in the Bosawas rainforest with Matagalpa tours. Freddy was extremely helpful and my guide Ernesto was very passionate and enthusiastic about the area, and knowledgable on the area's wildlife. We very very lucky with the animals and birds (and snakes!) that we saw, and the campin..."g and food was great.
Matagalpa Tours also seems to be a company with a great ethical policy, looking after its employees very well, and genuinely caring about the Nicaraguan environment, which is another reason why I would definitely go with Matagalpa tours again.
