more »Owner description:
The Padelletti family is one of the oldest familes in Montalcino and carries a tradition of wine culture across 25 generations since the 16th century. Our cellar is situated under a 15th century building in the very centre, along the historical walls of Montalcino. It is a small cellar which has remained unchanged throughout the centuries and is packed full of history. The wine making processes continue to follow the traditional methods used to make Brunello di Montalcino, a great wine internationally renowned. It is possible to arrange guided tours of the cellar and wine tastings (in Italian, French and fluent English) any day of the week between 10:00 and 19:00. It would be however better to make an appointment in advance.

"A friend and I went on a wine tour with Giovanni at the end of April. I was so impressed. The wineries he chose were spectacular, and the conversation inviting. He is very passionate and knowledgable about the area. I will be sure to book another excursion with him on my next trip."
"I enjoyed this wine room the most in Montalcino. We were referred here by our B&B. The owner was very helpful and I think I learned more about Brunello in 10 minutes here than I could have expected. They have a large variety of wines, and the taste card system is very cool."
"I must agree with all the other reviewers: this is one of the best winery tours & tastings you will find. Nicoletta is a superb guide and very forthcoming about the winery, the lovely history, and the Montalcino area. Our dear friend David led us here and while it was the second winery we went to ..."that day, we were all delighted! The reserve grappa is superb (only 8 bottles left as David and I each bought one!), and their olive oil is the best we have tasted in our three weeks here in Italy (our palates, not necessarily yours). The wine is wonderful and we look forward to drinking our selections with dinner tomorrow!
Look for the wolves in the enclosure - beautiful!, and all the cycling mementos - inspiring!
