  "Well I have to say Bambelela was a wonderful experience. I have read some really negative reviews and I have to say these people have no business volunteering. Yes you work from 7 until whenever and yes we had only two meals but however you got a lunch break off whether you ate or not was up to you ..."and if you chose not to eat then you have no reason to complain. I volunteered with 6 girls who did nothing but complain. I think they thought they were coming to a 5 star resort where they put mints on your pillow every night. All I can say is get over it. and as for Silke she was great, and the food was what you except to get volunteering. The reward for all the hard work was to interact with the monkey's and other wildlife. If I was to do it again I would go back to Bambelela. The staff was great and yes there was a little drama but you get that any where you go. I did not let that bother and when the staff and Silke said you are doing a great job I take pride in it.   "Truly an amazing experience. I have done a few elephant experiences in the past, and this was the first with Adventure with Elephants, and by far the best! The whole experience from start to finish was wonderful! The interaction section was great! The introduction of the elephants, the stories a..."round them and there special traits and tricks are a treat. The trainers are well experienced and created a wonderful vibe among the group throughout the interaction section. The elephants seemed to enjoy playing up to the crowd, and the various interactions were brilliant - from feeding, touching (including their tongues!), all eventually leading to a kiss by these beautiful and majestic animals. There are many photo opportunities, and the staff take photo's for you which can be later purchased - which means the your full attention can be on learning about these wonderful animals and interacting with them.
