Points of Interest

1. Start from Champex with the chair lift La Breya

Champex is a cute ski resort with a small lake that is frozen during the winter. Champex is an excellent starting point for several great hikes and mountaineering.

2. Le clocher du Portalet, 2823 m.

An impressive castle of red granite. One of the most famous peak among climbers.

3. Cabane d'Orny and Lake, 2831 m.

For complete informations and reservations see the website: www.cabanedorny.ch.
Breathtaking panorama.
2 hours walking from the chair lift with children.

4. Le glacier d'Orny

The path between Orny and Trient is just on the right of the Orny glacier. Great views on the blue crevasses. Unfortunately the glacier is melting faster and faster...

5. Snow on the way to Trient

Early in the summer (even up to the end of June!!) there may be snow on the way to Orny and Trient which may complicate a little bit the trip. From the beginning of July however, the path is usually dry and normal sport shoes may be sufficient although soft mountain shoes are recommended.

6. Cabane Trient, 3170 m above sea level.

For complete informations and reservations see the website: www.cas-diablerets.ch/trient.htm.
Breathtaking panorama.
