The Moscow State Museum “Bourganov’s House” was founded in January 2001. It is situated in the historical area of Moscow (metro-station Kropotkinskaya). Its founder Alexander Bourganov is a gifted contemporary artist, the Full Member of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts, Doctor of the History of Art. The museum collection presents the works of Alexander Bourganov, Maria Bourganova and Igor Bourganov.The main exposition is located out of doors in the open air. The works of A. Bourganov and his private collection have laid the foundation of the exposition. It begins directly in Big Afanasievsky lane, where some sculptural works of the artist are on display, occupies the museum’s territory and ends at green rest area of Sivtsev Vrazhek. The hall of “Small Louvre” has become the first indoor exhibition place of the museum. It is a relatevely small underground space, which is covered with a glass roof.
