Points of Interest
1. Parking
Parking here is free. Before heading south down the path towards the marsh take a short trip north to see the refuge headquarters.
2. Park Headquarters
Make sure to check out the display of signs and read the kiosk. Check out the barn across the street. The overhang near the top has a bunch of barn swallow nests in it.
3. Junction
Take a left here and head towards the marsh.
4. Memorial Boardwalk Junction
Here is a beautiful boardwalk you can check out. I have another guide for this boardwalk if you are interested. You'll have a great view over the marsh from here. Continue straight along the road to circle around the marsh.
5. Viewpoint
Another view out over the marsh.
6. Junction and turn around point
Here you can take a right and conintue a little further around the marsh or turn around here and head back the way you came. The trail straight ahead to the south leads to Pigeon Butte. From here just head back the same way you came.
