1. Stowe Ski Resort Trailhead
The easiest way to climb Mt. Mansfield is up the ski trails. This works especially good if you have AT ski gear and can skin up. It's convenient to dump your ski gear at the top of the Gondola then head up to the ridge line and return for a quick ski down. No fees to park here. 2. Top of Gondola
Look for signs or boot tracks around the top of the gondola for the hikers trail up to the summit ridge. You'll follow below a band of pretty big cliffs up to the ridge.
3. Sunset Ridge
You've reached the ridge that leads to the summit to the north. Be careful on the very exposed summit rocks and try to stay off vegetation.
4. Top of Vermont
You've reached the 4,393 foot summit of Vermont and the Green Mountains. Look south for views towards Camel's Hump and Killington as well as the rest of the rocky ridge of Mt. Mansfield.
