This bundle showcases some of the best kid-friendly hikes in the area:
* The Dish Trail at Stanford: This 4 mile loop is paved, but is has some steep sections, both up and down. Make sure you take good care on those slopes. The views on Stanford Campus and Silicon Valley are great. There are no specific attractions for kids, but there are plenty of other families that hike here, so your kids may get some inspiration from other kids they see.
* Redwood Trail at Big Basin: This short trail is unpaved, but it's flat and wide, and very accessible for strollers. You kids will love the numbered points along the trail which include balance beams, chimney trees and the largest Redwood trees in California.
* Mount Tam Loop Trail: This is another short, flat loop. The views on the Bay are the best. Be careful because the trail is quite narrow and has steep drop to the side, so make sure you keep your little ones within grabbing distance. less «
