Deseret Peak

Take a hike up one of the tallest peaks in Utah towering above the Salt Lake.

Points of Interest

1. Trailhead

Start out on the South Willow Creek trail.

2. Junction

To the right will be your return. For now head off on the South Willow Trail along Mill Fork. This will bring you up to a pass and then a ridge which you will follow to the top.

3. Views from the Pass

Here you will have views back down the valley you just ascended and up towards the ridge you will follow to the top.

4. Summit of Deseret Peak

At 11,031 feet you are at the summit of this massive peak. Take lots of photos and head down the ridge to the north to complete your loop.

5. Pocketts Fork and Dry Lake Fork Descent

Start your switchbacking descent from here.

6. Dry Lake Trail

Take a left down the Dry Lake Trail back to the trailhead.
