Points of Interest

1. Trailhead at the Tuolumne Meadows campground

The trailhead to the Elizabeth Lake trail is located in the B loop of the Tuolumne Meadows campgroud. You can park your car in the Lembert Dome parking lot and it's short hike to the campground from there. After starting from the trailhead, you will immediately encounter the trail juncton.

2. Trail Junction

At the junction, GO STRAIGHT and continue hiking for 2.2 miles to Elizabeth Lake. You gain most of the elevation change in the first 1.5 miles and the trail becomes flat afterwards until you reach the lake. You will notice Unicorn Creek on your right side most of the time.

3. Elizabeth Lake

Cross Unicorn Creek to reach the lake side. The lake is ok to swim but cold. Enjoy the surround views of Unicord Peak (10,823 feet) and Johnson Peak (11,064 feet). Take the same way back to the trailhead once you're ready to return.
