Nice spot to stay...tucked away from the main road so very quiet. Studio room does need a bit of TLC if we're honest (no exhaust fan in bathroom, a kitchen tap over the bathroom sink and a foot-sized hole in the plasterboard behind the bed was a bit weird) but it was a perfectly comfortable place to spend the night.... After coming off the Interislander and followed by a stunning drive through Queen Charlotte drive this motel was a perfect place to stop before the next leg of our motorcycle tour of the South Island. The unit we had was well back from the road and very peaceful. Found the owners very friendly and helpful.

We found the Havelock Garden Motel to be clean, spacious and well-appointed, with an excellent central location in the village. The actual garden has some fine specimen trees and shrubs. Even tho' we were only here for a night we could have happily stayed longer if we had the time!

Lovely well appointed units in peaceful setting, several acres of garden with units dotted around. Good facilities, beautifully clean and comfortable. Thank you Karen and Alan for making us so welcome.

The motel fronts on to the main road but just up the drive there are lovely trees, a river running through the gardens and picnic tables under the trees. Lovely quiet place with easy-going friendly owners. Also nice and central in Havelock for restaurants etc. Walks from here go directly up into the bush to visit a waterfall and also a short distance to marina and boating. Useful base for exploring the less-visited Pelorus Sound ie less touristed area than Queens Charlotte Sound.

This motel is in a quiet location set well back from the main road in the centre of Havelock. The rooms are nicely presented with tasteful decor.
