Visited Ravenstone on a living social voucher and had a super 2 night stay. We were greeted at check-in by one of the owners, Kim, who kindly gave us a tour of the hotel before showing us to our room. We paid extra to have a premium room and stayed in room 1 which had stunning views over the lake... More

A wonderful place to stay, the Manor had a wonderful feeling and very welcoming.the staff were very attentive especially as a coeliac I don't have to worry about what had to eat.I was offered excellent choices and fully recommend the hotel to my other coeliac friends ,in fact I did tonight as its Coleridge awareness week put it up on my... Stayed for 2 nights in May had a basic room which was very clean and comfortable with superb views. Owners very welcoming and friendly as we're all the staff. Dinner was excellent so we ate on both nights, drinks prices were very reasonable I guess because this is an excellent b and b and not a 4 star hotel. The... More

We first stayed at the Ravenstone hotel last February when the new owners had just taken over the hotel. Returning this time at the end of April early May we found another warm welcome awaited us. We stayed in room 1 which is at the front of the hotel and has a beautiful view of Bassenthwaite Lake as well as... More

We went to Ravenstone on a KGB deal and it has been such a lovely experience. The owners couldn't of looked after us better - fresh milk to take up to our room, so helpful for anything we needed. We had a gorgeous dinner (£25 per person for 5 courses was excellent and even got a bottle of wine with... More

Just returned home from our first stay at ravens tone and must say that we were really impressed with the warmth and attention to detail shown by Kim and cherin. We loved the old fashioned feel of the hotel and its position at the foot of skiddaw. Wonderful views from our bedroom overlooking the lake. Staff were very friendly and... More

Just returned from a very nice stay at this charming country house hotel. It is situated in a lovely position not far from Keswick, overlooking Bassenthwaite lake. We were in room 11 on the 2nd floor and had a lovely view of the lake. The shower room was clean and looked like it had been recently refurbished, the shower didn't... More

We stayed here for bed and breakfast having booked via a website at £95 for 2. The hotel is quite small and rather more like a large private house than a hotel. The apparently attractive exterior, close up, is a bit scruffy with wooden planting boxes that have not been painted. However, we were then welcomed by some-one I presumed... More

We were made very welcome. Our room (no. 1) was comfortable with a good-sized bed. The bathroom was a little bit pokey but very clean. Food was very pleasant and the breakfasts were outstanding - the full English had some of the tastiest bacon and sausage I have tasted. The lounge is very comfortable. The setting is very striking, with... More
