We enjoyed every moment of our stay - friendly hosts without intruding on our space. Super clean and comfortable. Very useful advise regarding surrounding outings and drives. Special breakfast, lovely farm animals (!). Will definately enjoy this hospitality in the future.

Thank you for your very kind comments Elsabe. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond but being a bit dumb when it comes to computers, it took me this long to find out how to do it !. Cheers Rosalind More

Large, airy and clean, this upstairs self-contained unit makes for a pleasant stay. I was a bit put off that there's no door, just stairs going down to the garage (locked) and a door to the house of the hosts. But if that doesn't bother you, give them a call. Nice and welcoming hosts. Unit in a quiet spot that's... More

This was our first self contained unit, ( all others B & B's ) It was a lovely surprise, I could see us stay here for longer in future say 1 week as we liked the Warkworth area.It is very well appointed and cant think of anything it needs. Even the use of a Laptop for your personal use,so good... More

My husband & I brought our son from the US to go to university in Auckland. We snuck off for a couple days to Matakana. Cedarhouse was the perfect escape. Rosalind was so kind, she did our laundry, made us cookies, gave us directions & answered all our questions. Her husband even let us use their fax machine. The amenities... More

and everything had been prepared for our little one (14 months) as well: cot, high chair and a whole box of toys - just to give you an example for all the hospitality there. we stayed there after our flight from europe so we truely enjoyed the beautiful landscape and all the little animals (dog, chickens, kunekune pigs, sheep ...)... We spent 4 nights at the Cedarhouse and have already booked for another visit. The accomodation is stunning and Rosalind has thought of everything to make it welcoming and cosy. It was the stormy weather season but the large and airy suite was warm and snug. No detail is forgotten and it was like a home from home (only nicer... More

Unfortunately we only stayed with Ian & Rosalind one night as we passed from the Bay of Islands to Coromandel, but the welcome we received from Rosalind was as though we were long lost family. The room is totally self contained above the double garage, where you park your car so don't worry that it will be noisy - there... More

We booked at Cedarhouse B&B based on their website because we wanted a few days to wind down near the Auckland area prior to flying home. Cedarhouse is about an 1 1/2 hours from Auckland - far enough to enjoy nature and close enough to suit our needs. Our room was spacious and came with a continental breakfast. The property... More

We stayed here for 4 nights as self caterers and found it suited our needs perfectly. The spacious area has pretty much everything you could want and the internet is helpful. While there isn't a cooker, an electric ring and microwave worked fine for simple meals - and there's such a lot of excellent places to eat close by that... More
