We stayed one night before our long boat ride. The hotel ticked all boxes for us. It provided a clean room and a good breakfast the next day. We opted for the Mexican restaurant about 30m down the road for dinner. It was a convenient location and friendly service made the stop over trouble free.

We stayed here for one night before crossing the Mekhong to Laos. The hotel is perfectly sited for this being right on the banks of the river and a few minutes from the crossing (transport is provided by the hotel). Checking in was completed with the minimum of fuss and our luggage taken to our rooms. The rooms are in... More

I chose this hotel because I had to stay in Chiang Khong for one night before crossing the river to Laos the next morning. The hotel website looked more promising than any of the very few other accommodation options which I could have booked in advance. It certainly did not disappoint. I will be so bold as to state that... More

This is a lovely property. I had room 115 which was at the end of a row of rooms. It is next to a stairway that goes to the river so I could hear a little noise from those passing by. But it had a unobstructed view of the river and of Laos across the way. The rooms next to... More

Booked two nights as we waited to cross the border into Laos. The hotel itself is well presented and check in was a breeze. Rooms are on the small side but as a transit stop this is just fine. The main part of the room was great, flat screen TV, good lighting, aircon, typical firm bed but not uncomfortable as such.... More

We stayed here for one night before departing on our Mekong River Cruise and thought it was great. The rooms are nice, good location. Be sure to stroll the path along the river into town. We ate at the restaurant at the hotel and didn't think it was very good. It was actually our only bad meal in SE Asia,... More

A group of us stayed here one night before crossing into Laos. Considering it seems to cater for people who are just doing the one night stay pre-Laos crossing, it is pretty good. Nice service, lovely spot overlooking the river, and we had a good meal here too.

We were quite excited when we saw the little villas that we were staying in with views over the Mekong however were disappointed in the tiny and run down bathrooms. The bedroom part of the villas was nice (typical hard Thai mattresses) and the balcony was also nice (especially the view!). We also ate at the restaurant for dinner with... More

I stayed here for a single night before crossing into Laos to get a boat to Luang Prabang. It's clean and comfortable and the views over the Mekong into Laos are great (worth getting up to watch the sun rise). The food in the restaurant for dinner is also very good and the staff friendly and attentive, and I would... More

Stayed here for one night with our 18month and was surprised by how nice this hotel was. Booked a river view room with short notice and they gave us a good price (less than advertised). We found the property and room very well kept in a quiet but convenient location, just a few minutes walk from town centre. Enjoyed the... More
