See my title - breakfast is horrible, no fresh coffee, neapresso (instant) only and that in the heart of italy. Four days into our stay and still no Internet service. The hotel is modern. Pool is great but overall we are missing some Italian charm in our accommodation. More

The hotel itself is quite nice and located on a mountain side. The pool area is fantastic. Food is pretty goos. Rooms modern and clean, with stunning views of Gioiosa Marea. However... To get to the beach you will need to use the hotel minibus. Theoretically you should make a reservation at the reception. In reality its a race of... More

We have stayed (4 person group, SEP 17-24 2011). All of us liked the experience. Breakfast was adequate with fresh croissants and coffee machine delivering all types of coffee, some fruits, eggs etc. Same with dinners, we liked grilled fish & pork. We were looking for reasonable priced vacation with average, acceptable food and Grand Avalon delivered. If we wanted... More

Don't even think about staying in this hotel! - Staff is more then just rude (except few girls which were polite and kind). - Food is really really poor. Almost the same every day, taste bad, runs our quicker then you come to restaurant. - Don't accept credit card! Only cash! How cool is that? - Bus which takes to... More

Beautiful hotel, nice location, lovely swimmingpool but terrible food!!! Horrible breakfast and buffetdinner in horrible hospital-like surroundings. Bar not open in the evening, poolside bar only has little snacks like toast and caprese for a few hours. It's a shame, such a good location....difficult to ruin breakfast but they do...this has nothing nto do with Italy! More

More details following after my first review and after 4 days which we spent there: as said before, the food is the weakest link of this nice hotel. Breakfast is the same everyday and that means one kind of cheese (bad), one kind of ham, tasteless eggs and some corn flakes. And bad croissant with marmelade. That really doesnt sound... More

First of, we loved the rooms, and the pool, the view and the way the hotel looks is amazing. Sunset at the sea view, and the rooms are very modern and clean. Breakfast is diverse and the staff is helpful. However, there is no transport to and from the hotel, unless you have a car. There are no taxis. Mealtimes... More

We stayed there for a week in the early May and really loved it. The only problem is the hotel's location. Unless you plan to rent a car you'll feel like being in the end of the world. The food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful. More

We spent one week in this hotel. It’s very comfortable, tasteful. Rooms are big and all with beautiful see view. There is a really nice swimming pool with magnificent view on the eole islands. Hotel is situated on the hill and the way up is quite steep so after you climb all the way you are quite tired! The beach... More
