The Sunset Retreat was the most beautiful place in the the most beautiful setting. The attention to detail in the Cabin was second to none, the comfiest bed we have ever slept in, amazing products in the bathroom, great shower and sunken bath and just beautiful views from every Window.

The Hunter Valley is one of our Sydney dwelling daughter’s favourites and we booked three nights as part of our trip to NSW and New Zealand. There are three properties and the one we booked (Vineyard) was not ready so we were ‘upgraded’ to Wattle … the largest and with a larger terrace and hot tub. Situated off a quiet road with extensive grounds including a small vineyard and ponds, the view is stunning … and peaceful. We loved the view, having kangaroos in the grounds, strolling around the pond with water lilies. Everything was stylish and quality … we are lucky to have enjoyed wonderful places in many countries and this is one we will remember as very special

Lovely quiet place to stay with all the usual amenities. Great place for a sunset glass of wine on the deck, looking across the vines to the Broken Back mountains. Closest neighbours are a mob of kangaroos. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

We stayed at the Vineyard Retreat. This place is simply the best accommodation we ever stayed in anywhere in Australia. Truly unique! The views are amazing with vineyards, lakes, Mount Pleasant at the background and Australian wildlife right at the backyard of the accommodation. The cottage is set with top end furniture with king size very comfortable beds, indoor and outdoors sitting areas and dinner tables. The kitchen had everything we needed. Very clean. We hope to return to this place again.

The Vintage accommodation was very comfortable & well equiped. The surroundings were peaceful & still conveniently close to many local wineries. I would definitely recommend this retreat and hope to revisit again.

Our 4-day retreat in the Vintage was cosy, scenic, relaxing, peaceful, and just perfect for a short stay in the Hunter Valley. Highly recommend its location and closeness to all the wineries in a beautiful setting with kangaroos and birdlife. The facilities were excellent and the outdoor verandah overlooking the lake and vineyards added to the relaxing atmosphere.

We had a wonderful three nights stay at Black wattle Luxury Retreats. It was exactly what we needed. It was so quiet and peaceful. We spent hours sitting on the deck enjoying the serenity, the afternoon sunshine snd the view. The kangaroos, birds and waking up to a sky full of hot air balloons was an added bonus. The cabin was immaculately presented. It is decorated to a high standard and has everything you could possibly need and more. We visit the Hunter Valley regularly but this is definitely our new home base going forward. Central to wineries, restaurants and local markets. We are already planning our next visit!

We went here on our honeymoon and it was the perfect location! We were greeted by kangaroos and sweeping views. Sarah was great at communicating and made sure our stay was lovely. The retreat was clean, provided privacy and fresh air. The perfect place to get away from the business of the city and spend time together as a newly married couple.
