Possibly abandoned since the 1960s. When we arrived a tumbleweed blew past. Visible DNA on the couch, no blue light needed. Took turns with the coffee cup while looking at the deck we couldn’t get to. Didn’t catch bedbugs but pretty sure we heard a zombie in the “Pamper House”. If you’re easily spooked, best to avoid. Send help.

Positives - great view, location, fairly new air con so efficient, good showerhead and ok bed. Unfortunately, it is dated and needs a lot of TLC. Can't believe we paid $360 for two nights. Just look at the photos I took. They speak for themselves. On the website, it mentions a restaurant but it looks like it has not been functioning for a long time. In our "chalet", there were things in the fridge and freezer from previous guests, cobwebs galore in the room and the lounge was stained and squeaky. We put a blanket on the lounge so we could sit on it. Kitchen and bathroom were made to look like it had a row of feature tiles but it was a "stick on" feature that was peeling off. I don't know what constitutes a "resort" but this is not a "resort" that you want to stay at. This place should be shut down until repairs and a deep clean has been done. My purpose in writing this review is not to shame but to warn others not to spend the money. Stay somewhere else. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place and I will never go back. I will look for other accommodation in the vineyards.

First of all, the old Carrier air conditioner didn't work and the saw three toilet hadn't been flushed and the hand towel had been used. When i rang the receptionist, she said she found that very strange. She told me they are in the midst of changing the old aircon to a new one! She said that's why there is a small oil heater in the bedroom. Well you had to sit on the oil heater to feel any heat. The electric blanket only work on one side of the bed. There was only half an inch of hands soap in the container and one towel was really frayed. It's very dated, there was a light at the front door but it didnt work, had to use my phone torch as the ground was uneven getting to the door. There was no one on site when we got there. If you are looking for a resort, this is definitely not the place!!!

It was so disgusting, outdated and shoddy that you had to laugh really. I've stayed at posher school camps! Avoid this place at all costs! My personal favourite was the request not to dirty their linen with make up! See pics! The linen was threadbare! Our friends didn't fare much better in their loft room with nothing separating their bed from the toilet and shower - NOTHING! God only knows how they are still in operation! Pitch a tent if this is your last option, you will feel cleaner and safer!! 🤣

Overall this was a great location for camping and visiting wineries nearby. The staff were really friendly and helpful the entire time - from giving us local tips for wineries and shops, to helping with transport. Special thanks to Tony for jumpstarting our van! We used the communal facilities which were kept clean, with complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. We were even able to have a drink on the sunloungers and keep our wine cool in the staff fridge! The place is under new ownership and there were clearly some discreet renovations and improvements going on but that didnt bother us at all. Would definitely stay here again, look forward to seeing what they end up doing with the place as its a lovely spot with beautiful views and potential. Kelly and Adriaan

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! This is without doubt the WORST hotel i have ever stayed in. The rooms are filthy, the bed was filthy with pubic hairs and sand on the sheets. The bathroom was filthy, toilet bowl was black. The shower had no water and the hand basin water was cold. The heating did not work and the temperature was -3. Returning from a wedding at 10:30 pm,The lock on my door was jammed and I was unable to get in my room, there wad no staff on site and everywhere was in completed darkness. When i used the contact number from Expedia, the woman who answered struggled to understand my problem and I had to wait 90 minutes for help in the freezing cold. Shame on Expedia for recommending this terrible place!!!!!

We stayed in villa no.1 which was a large cabin with two bedrooms partitioned off from the kitchen/living area. The partitions do not reach the full height of the pitched ceiling so the bedrooms are not really separate - something the photos didn't really convey. On the plus side: The beds are comfortable There are 4 ceiling fans (although the switches are confusing) The windows/sliding doors allow good cross ventilation It was quiet and there is a nice bush outlook On the negative side: floor and surfaces were dusty both sofas needed a good vacuum and steam cleaning the deck had some wood rot and protruding nails so was potentially unsafe With proper cleaning and repairs and landscaping and with the outdoor area being cleared up a bit this could be a nice resort but it is definitely not worth the money in its current rather run-down state.

The villas are clean, comfortable and well equipped but would benefit from redecoration. The staff were helpful and friendly, with nothing being too much trouble. The restaurant provided true fine dining, which I have found to be rare in Australia. The taste, texture and presentation of the food was exquisite yet very good value. As one would expect from the Hunter Valley region, the wine list was full of good choices. As the Terminator said, I will be back!

Very poor accommodation the loft was directly above the kitchen incessant door banging, food smells. Very very inadequate privacy except if you were staying alone Dangerous entrance and stairs Bad luck if you are tall you would knock yourself out trying to get around the room called the LOFT. Very expensive, poor nights sleep, needs to have some blinds or covers on ceiling windows Overall absolutely terrible

This place is horrible! We paid nearly $400 a night for the 2 bedroom villa, and I wouldn’t pay $10 to stay here again. We actually laughed when we drove in as we though we may have accidentally come to the tip shop... there are piles of rubbish and broken furniture laying around. Empty wine bottles lining walls (I think this is an attempt at decoration). We should have driven out then and there. Directed to our room where there is no actual driveway, you need to drive across very rough grass/gravel. ‘2 bedrooms’ is just temporary walls installed that don’t go to the ceiling... hope you aren’t staying with anyone noisy! No soap, bathroom vanity is not even attached to the wall.. very unsafe! Balcony looks like it will collapse at any minute (did not dare step on it), and getting tv going is just plain frustrating.. I could go on and on about this place, but cannot find a single positive. Unclean, tired, broken. Do not stay.
