We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment. It's very nice--good layout, well-decorated, well-equipped, and marvellous view of Shipwreck Bay from inside and from the deck. We didn't bother with restaurants--couldn't beat the kitchen, barbecue, and view from the tables inside and out. Great place from which to swim, surf, or tour Cape Reinga.
This purpose built property is still relatively new so everything is in perfect condition. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, they even took us out in their 4x4 at low tide around the beach and bay and then up some tracks to the view above the town.
