The only reason I did not rate as excellent is because of the price. However, I did stay in a deluxe room (with ocean view and balcony) and it was over New Years when rates definitely go up around the island. The room had all the comforts (Air con, TV with cable, balcony, comfortable bed, hot water) and is right... More

stayed here for just one night. we got the biggest room. there was no electricity service that day in the whole island but the place had a generator so it was a plus. the ocean view from the terrace wasn't that "breathtaking" because of the trees. the place was okay. staff were not aware if you are a guest or... I been in in this place for quite many times and I just simply love it here! Their staffs are nice and smiling, the foods are delicious and a pocket friend price. It is located at heart of Alona beach and is so easy to find. Its a nice place for relaxing, sipping a bottle of beer (you'll surely add... More

I stayed at Trudie's Place in Panglao on a tour of Bohol, very central opposite the beach, Room was clean with Aircon and Satellite TV. I had a room at the back which was a little quieter (a good thing at night) Free Wifi downstairs. Did not eat there but the place was always busy which I think is a... More

Stayed in the lovely Trudi's Place after checking out from Hayahay (see related reviews by Bimmerman135) and finally found what we were looking for. The hotel has 8 rooms that provides most of the basics: Hot & cold fresh water shower (Note: most of the hotels in Alona have salty water showers); Remote controlled AC and TV: Free WIFI; Own... Found this resort just from passing by, and it was an amazing find. Apart from good value for under 2000 with breakfast for 2, Trudi's Place has a great history behind it. Met the owner Trudi and she is one awesome lady. She is one of the original settlers on that beach, from providing good education to her children by... More

Think twice about booking a beachfront room, as there is a band that plays on the beach each night until the wee hours. You might want to check the condition of the AC in rooms 2 and 4, as one was very loud and the other did not work properly during my stay. Room 3 is the best of those... More

we didn't stay at Trudi's Place but we did eat breakfast there and it was a disappointment. the price was high but the taste was not. my boyfriend and i always order the same thing at hotels/resorts/restos for breakfast -- continental for him, filipino for me. the proportions were really small compared to other resorts/hotels/restos' price. the bread was hard... The hotel is not impressive from the outside, but it sits on the beach front of Alona. I was staying at another hotel and walked in to check the prices for rooms. There is a resto in the reception front area. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful, this may have been the deciding factor to stay... More

If youre on a budget vacation and youre planning to stay there for a couple of nights just to see the beach, its Trudis. No wifi access though. I even brought along my broadband stick. Been to Panglao for more than 4x already, stayed in different resorts and everytime i go there id tell myself, "why not stay at trudis... More
